During the night massive shelling of the capital on June 15, an enemy strike hit the building where the Ukrainian journalist, interviewer, and blogger Marichka Dovbenko lives. At the moment of the attack, the girl was in her apartment.
– My house was hit. I was at home, I heard a loud explosion, a fire started. A fragment hit several floors above me. I don’t believe I’m alive! — the blogger shared her horrifying experience.
Due to the direct hit and damage, the elevators in the building completely shut down and stopped working. Fortunately, there was open access to the evacuation staircase on Marichka’s floor. The girl was able to descend the stairs to the courtyard on her own, where she, along with her neighbors, was recovering from the nightmarish experience.
Marichka Dovbenko is a popular Ukrainian journalist. She actively develops her own author’s YouTube channel, where she releases resonant interviews with famous Ukrainian celebrities, politicians, and public figures. Marichka gained wide popularity among TV viewers thanks to her participation in the 13th season of the romantic reality show “The Bachelor,” where the main character was the famous war veteran and public activist Oleksandr “Teren” Budko.
The night attack on Kyiv caused a wave of outrage among Ukrainian cultural figures. In addition to residential areas, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Dovzhenko film studio were also hit.
